Tony The Orange Dog

Tony was placed with Sophia in December 2011.  They are doing well together.

We wish them well.  We love you, Sophia!

We are working with Make A Wish Foundation of Illinois  to help Sophia get her dream-come-true.

Sophia was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy when she was just a baby.  Now, she is a beautiful six year old little girl.    When she was asked what she wished for most, Sophia said she wanted a Service Dog to help her retrieve fallen objects and to be her constant companion.  Most importantly, Sophia wanted an "orange dog named Tony".

The search began.  Now,  Tony, a handsome, twelve month old Golden Retriever is living at Committed Canine learning all the important lessons he will need to become Sophia's Service Dog.

Soon, Tony will be ready to meet Sophia.  Committed Canine instructors will travel to her house, since she cannot take long trips away from home.  There, Sophia will learn how to ask Tony to do tasks for her, like turning off a light switch or retrieving something that she might drop.  Best of all, Tony will be Sophia's best friend and Sophia will be Tony's best little girl.

Stop by this page in the future.  We will post new photos and videos of Tony's training.

THANK-YOU!

We would like to send Tony to his new home with a nice big bed, food and water bowls, dog food and other necessary supplies, so that his family won't be taxed with those expenses.
Your donation will help us make that happen.
